abstract
Although religious science is nowadays a word that has more or less gained a foothold in scientific circles, the necessity of religious science, despite the fact that it is a fundamental issue, seems to have been taken for granted and neglected. This research has tried to sort out the chaos in this field by following methodical and regular steps and by extensively examining the existing works in this field, and finally to draw a continuum of the necessity of religious science. Four types of descriptive, critical, consequential and suggestive necessity, in this research, the conceptualization and definition and classifications of each of them were also identified. The most important feature of this classification is that it covers both the existing views about the necessity of religious science and opens new horizons to the subject of the necessity of religious science and has the possibility of development by the scientific community. According to the results, a continuum has been drawn, one side of which is Intellectual subjugation and the other side is scientific identity building. This continuum shows different views on the necessity of religious science, that scientific identity building is a new trend that needs serious attention from the scientific community.
Keywords: Necessity, religious science, Islamization, Intellectual subjugation, scientific identification.
Introduction
In various works and books that have dealt with the subject of religious science, the discussion of the necessity of religious science has been of interest to experts in this field. From an intra-paradigmatic standpoint, the necessity of religious science is the foundation. If this cornerstone is not explained well, subsequent efforts are likely to collapse. Regarding the negotiating importance of the necessity of religious science (in an extra-paradigmatic standpoint), religious science, as a competing discourse, must have a lot of persuasive properties in the heart of thousands of other views and approaches in order to be able to negotiate and argue in the scientific community. One of the important pillars that religious science must rely on for this purpose is the discussion of the necessity of religious science. If this issue is explained well and addressed in a comprehensive and comprehensive manner, it will increase the competitiveness and negotiation power of religious science.
Materials & Methods
To conduct this research, based on the systematic review method, 7 main steps have been taken. These steps include: surveying sources related to religious science and its necessity, surveying the most important phrases and sentences about the necessity of religious science, eliminating overlaps and determining distinctions and arriving at a unified list of propositions, classifying propositions by determining the partial classes under each general class, determining the key concept of each of the sub- and general classes, and choosing an inclusive and comprehensive view of the necessity of religious science.
Discussion & Result
In the discussion and findings section, it should be said that all the propositions that were extracted from the sources around the necessity of religious science were placed in four categories: descriptive necessity, critical necessity, consequential necessity, and propositional necessity. In descriptive necessity, the most important proposition was that each science is based on its own axioms, based on which the most important descriptive necessity of religious science was that religious science requires a transformational movement, initiative, and courage. The most important and frequent proposition of critical necessity referred to domination and chronic historical backwardness. In consequential necessity of religious science, the defeat of the scientific hegemony of the West and the production of endogenous science were referred to. And finally, in propositional necessity, the emphasis was placed on going beyond action proposals and focusing on transactional proposals.
Conclusion
The necessity of religious science can be viewed from two perspectives. In one perspective, religious science is necessary because it must be an action or reaction against foreign theories and reform science from a religious perspective. But from another perspective, the necessity of religious science is a transaction. This means that religion has taken the upper hand in the field of science and is not just waiting for a movement from the theories that are popular in the world to take a stand against it, but rather considers religious science itself an undeniable necessity because it is pregnant with thousands of original and sublime theories. Theories that each have the ability to present to the scientific community, convince it, and even lead in this field. These views can be placed in the form of a continuum, one side of which points with a negative view to "intellectual subjugation" as the most important defect and problem of the state of science in the country and considers religious science necessary to get rid of it, and on the other side, there is the creation of a scientific identity that shows the desired position in science. A keyword that indicates the many hidden identities in the realm of science that require the efforts of researchers, thinkers, and activists in the field of science and knowledge.
